Thing #6 - Mashups and 3rd Party Sites

It amazes me how much time people must spend on the computer to discover, create, and play with all these cool tools! I found several that could have useful applications as a teacher/librarian. For example, the Mappr would be great for geography projects (research a country and then find photos of famous landmarks on Flickr to paste on the map). I think the Trading Card Maker could be used to create "advertisements" for books (include a picture of the book cover and bullets on the card to provide information about the characters/setting/plot/student reviews, etc.). I can't wait to get started!

Thing #5 - Flickr

It is overwhelming to me all the things you can do with Flickr! My goal is to organize all my wedding photos and share them with my family and friends! I especially like the ability of viewers to write notes on the photos to communicate back to me.
